Well it looks like Bond is back with the 24th installment of the franchise, and it has brought with it some quite extraordinary spy machines this time around.
Jaguar Land Rover would like to take you on a quick behind the scenes look at the stunning vehicles from the movie, including the Land Rover Defender, Range Rover Sport SVR, and the Jaguar C-X75.
The Special Vehicle Operations team gives us a glimpse at the Austrian chase scene through the snow-covered mountains, featuring the Defender “Bigfoot” and Range Rover Sport SVR. The roads were icy and the action was fast, requiring the stunt drivers to use caution when speeding through the snowy terrain. The team used nine different cameras to create the scene, including one on a helicopter, one on the lead truck, and seven cameras placed on the ground to catch all the action.
Land Rover worked closely with the studio to provide vehicles that not only looked the part, but could handle the tough terrain while being pushed to the limits .The Jaguar C-X75 was also involved in a chase scene, but this time through the streets of Rome at night. The C-X75 needed to have perfect handling and driving dynamics to fit what the studio was asking for. They modified the vehicle to create the car shown in the movie, and after going through roughly 30 sets of tires during testing, it was ready to film.
The RR Sport SVR is the only vehicle in “Spectre” you can actually buy for yourself, and Land Rover Austin is here to help you with that purchase, should you feel the urge to explore you espionage skills.
Jaguar Land Rover Austin will also be hosting a private screening of the new James Bond film on Thursday, November 5th at the i Pic Theater at The Domain. Feel free to give us a call to find out more and to reserve your spot for what is sure to be an epic adventure.
