The word is out, and Land Rover Austin has jumped on the bandwagon to let the masses know that the prototype of the forthcoming high performance Range Rover Sport SVR was unleashed at last weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed!
The Range Rover Sport SVR is among the first products of the new Special Operations department at Jaguar Land Rover and promises to pack a serious punch. This beast of an SUV packs the same 5.0-liter supercharged V8 as the original, but has boosted the horsepower up to 542 which matches Jaguar’s top level performance models such as the F-Type R Coupe and XJR.
The precise extent of the modifications for the SVR has not yet been disclosed to us as of yet, but rumors from Land Rover USA suggest that it will add a more aggressive look with a unique front bumper design, larger air intakes and a revised rear bumper. We also expect to see some contrasting black highlights on the wheels, roof and the side-view mirrors. This newest version of the Range Rover will be the fastest, most agile and most responsive Land Rover vehicle ever built, and we can’t wait to get our hands on this baby that will be debuting sometime in 2015.
Land Rover Austin in Austin, Texas is proud to also mention that the United States is the largest Range Rover Sport market in the world, so this upcoming model should be thoroughly embraced by avid Land Rover enthusiasts across the nation.
